The topic that i chose to read is school violence. what i read was about the most violent act of violence on a school ever, where a school board official had blown up a school. I also read about columbine, and the shooting at virginia tech.

i think the article about school shootings made one point very clear, and it is that schools should had more rules about having guns inside school. First is that the harder rules were put into effect to late for the family’s loved ones that were killed in the shootings. Second is its good that the schools have cracked down one the kids so now they know not to bring guns to school. Third how do the schools without metal detectors defend them self’s from a shooting. Last but not least is the article gives a lot of information to the readers so they can have a insight into the shootings.

In the article I read it talked about underage drinking. It said how it’s not only the kids fault but the parents or people that are 21 that supply them with the alcohol. Kids drinking underage can be very dangerous. Young teen’s body’s are still growing and developing and drinking alcohol now could make the bad affects permanent. Also not only does alcohol affect you it affects everyone around you. Many kids get into very bad accidents due to alcohol. It could be a driving accident or a gun accident or it could be anything. Drinking underage is very dangerous and I think cracking down on adults supplying the alcohol and the people who are holding the party’s where these underage kids get drunk will help cut back on the problem.
